Terms

Terms of service.

These terms cover the kanjin.io website, the Kanjin web workspace, the Kanjin Mac application, the Kanjin iPhone application, Kanjin Reviews at reviews.kanjin.io, and the Kanjin server behind them. When you create an account or use Kanjin, you accept them. The privacy policy says what Kanjin does with personal data.

Last updated: 21 October 2026. Questions: vladimir@kanjin.io.

In short

  • You keep every right in the code, tickets and pages you bring to Kanjin.
  • To classify code, Kanjin sends it to an external service, the classifier. You accept this when you create an account.
  • Kanjin reads your providers with your own account, and never gives anyone access that the provider does not give.
  • A classification is an estimate. You stay responsible for the code you review, merge and ship.
  • Your coding agent runs under your own agreement with its provider.
  • Kanjin is free today, and nothing is charged without your agreement.
  • You can delete your account at any time.

Who provides Kanjin

Kanjin is a product of PERFORMARK, LLC, 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, USA. In these terms, "Kanjin", "we" and "us" mean PERFORMARK, LLC, and "you" means the person who uses Kanjin. Write to vladimir@kanjin.io for anything about these terms.

Your account

  • Give your name and an email address that receives mail, and keep them correct.
  • An account belongs to one person. Keep your password and your sign-in methods safe, and tell us if someone else uses your account.
  • You must be old enough to make a binding agreement where you live.
  • If you use Kanjin for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it.

Workspaces

A workspace has one owner, administrators and members. The owner holds billing and the deletion of the workspace. Administrators connect providers and invite people, and they decide who joins. Members review, correct and report. The reviews, the stored analyses and the corrections of a workspace belong to the workspace, and they stay with it when a member leaves or deletes their account.

Your code and content

You keep every right in the code, tickets, pages, comments and corrections that you bring to Kanjin. You give Kanjin permission to process them only to provide Kanjin to you and your workspace: to read them, to analyze them, to show them to the members who may see them, and to keep what the privacy policy names, for as long as it says.

When a feature needs a classification, Kanjin sends the code that you analyze, and the ticket text, file paths, commands and agent messages of a ticket session, to the Kanjin server and to an external service, the classifier. You accept this when you create your account. Do not analyze code that must not leave your machine.

You confirm that you may let Kanjin process what you bring to it, for example that your employer or the owner of a repository allows it.

Provider connections

  • When you connect GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, Linear, Confluence or Notion, Kanjin acts with your own account at that provider, and that provider's terms apply to that use.
  • Kanjin shows each member only what their own provider account can read. It never gives access that the provider does not give.
  • Kanjin writes to a provider only when you ask it to: a ticket status change in Jira or Linear, and a comment on a Jira ticket.
  • You can unlink an account in Kanjin, or withdraw Kanjin's access in the provider's own settings, at any time.

Coding agents and your Mac

  • A ticket session runs your own coding agent, such as Claude Code, Codex or opencode, with your own account at that agent's provider and under your agreement with it. Kanjin does not control what the agent writes or runs.
  • The agent works in folders on your Mac. You decide what it may do, and you check its changes before you commit, push or merge them.
  • Another device can control the sessions of your Mac only when you turn on Remote control in Settings, Devices.

Classifications are estimates

The classifier estimates which changes are mechanical, and Kanjin folds them so that you can read the rest first. Each classification is a probability, not a guarantee: a folded block can still hold a defect. Kanjin does not promise that a collapsed block is irrelevant. You and your team stay responsible for reviewing, testing, merging and shipping your code.

Kanjin Reviews

reviews.kanjin.io shows a public GitHub pull request or commit as a Kanjin review, without sign-in. Anyone with the address of a page can see it. The number of new analyses is limited for everyone together, so a page can ask you to come back later.

Acceptable use

Do not use Kanjin to:

  • break the law, or harm other people;
  • reach an account, a repository or data that you may not reach;
  • overload Kanjin, test its security without our written permission, or get around its limits, including the limits of Kanjin Reviews;
  • reverse engineer the classifier, or collect its results in bulk;
  • send malware or other harmful code to Kanjin or through it.

We can suspend an account or a workspace that breaks these rules. We tell you why, unless the law or the safety of others prevents it. Report a security problem to vladimir@kanjin.io.

Price

Kanjin is free today. If paid plans come, a plan belongs to a workspace, and its owner pays on the web. We publish a price before it applies, and nothing is charged without the owner's agreement. The Mac application and the iPhone application sell nothing.

The iPhone application

If you install the iPhone application from Apple's App Store or through TestFlight, Apple's terms for those apps also apply. These terms are between you and Kanjin, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Kanjin, its content, its support or any claim about it.

Availability and changes to Kanjin

Kanjin is new, and it changes often. We can add, change or remove features. We work to keep Kanjin running, but we do not promise that it is always available or free of errors. If we stop Kanjin, we tell account holders before it stops.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, Account. The privacy policy says what Kanjin removes and what stays with the workspace. We can close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Warranty and liability

To the extent the law allows, Kanjin is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Kanjin in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes a right that the law gives you and that an agreement cannot remove.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, this page changes first, with a new date at the top. If a change reduces your rights, we tell you in Kanjin or by email before it applies. If you keep using Kanjin after that, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

The laws of the State of Delaware, USA, govern these terms.
